Contraindications
• serious hypersensitivity to amoxicillin (e.g., anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome) or to other beta-lactams
Drug interactions
• anticoagulants, macrolides, tetracyclines, sulfonamides, oral contraceptives, methotrexate
Cautions
• dosage adjustment recommended for patients with renal impairment
• prolonged use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection, including C. difficile-associated diarrhea and pseudomembranous colitis

• vomiting
• skin rash
• clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
