Instructions and dose
(initial; typical)
alcohol withdrawal syndrome: 100 mg/day intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV); Wernicke's encephalopathy: 100 mg IV, then 50-100 mg/day IM or IV until consuming a regular diet;Thiamine deficiency (beriberi): 5-30 mg/dose IM or IV 3 times/day
