Contraindications
• hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, other beta-lactam antibacterial drugs
Drug interactions
• anticoagulants, macrolides, tetracyclines, sulfonamides, oral contraceptives, methotrexate
Cautions
• use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment and monitor liver function tests at regular intervals.
Adverse Effects (common and severe)• nausea
• vomiting
• skin rash
• clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
Instructions and dose

indication-specific dosing (usual oral dosing range: 250 mg every 8 hours or 500 mg every 8 to 12 hours)
Monitoring• monitor for signs of anaphylaxis during first dose
