  • uterine or liver malignancy, pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding, immunodeficiency, bacterial endocarditis
Drug interactions
  • primidone, barbiturates, phenytoin, carbamazepine, rifampicin, griseofulvin
Cautions
  • caution with migraines

  • increased risk of cardiovascular events including thrombosis
  • breast cancer
  • uterine bleeding iregularities
