Contraindications
  • anuria, acute renal insufficiency, significant impairment of renal excretory function
Drug interactions
  • angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors, atorvastatin, angiotensin II receptor blockers, cyclosporine
Cautions
  • the concurrent use of angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors increases the risk of hyperkalemia

  • hyperkalemia

25mg; 25-200mg one time a day
Monitoring
  • blood pressure
  • serum electrolytes (potassium and sodium)
  • renal function test
  • daily weight throughout therapy
