Participants

Eligibility

This research study is only open to patients at participating sites:

  • Health Centre at 80 Bond
  • Health Centre at 410
  • St. Jamestown Health Centre
  • Family Practice Unit at 61 Queen
  • Assiginack Family Health Team
  • Huron Shores Academic Family Health Team
  • Manitoulin Central Family Health Team

Patients of the participating sites who are over the age of 18 and have not taken their medications as prescribed in the last 12 months because of their cost may be eligible to participate.

Study Description

Participants in this study have a 50/50 chance of free access to 127 essential medications for one year and a 50/50 chance of having their usual access to medications.  All patients will have to report whether they take their medications and their medical charts will be reviewed to measure health outcomes.
